We are a small charity working to take community aspirations and turn them into reality. We run a number of projects ourselves, but we also provide support to other local charities and community groups.
We can help by providing free websites, advice and support. We also have a limited pot of money available for small grants, primarily to help local community groups, charities, and projects get started.
We have a professional web developer and web copywriter who can build a website for your charity or community group free of charge. Hosting of the website can also be arranged with options ranging from free to commercial packages depending on your needs. We can also help you raise your profile through social media. Get in touch to find out how we can help you build your online presence.Close Project
We run a number of community Facebook groups for the villages in our area. Our groups now have over 3500 members - a significant proportion of the populations of the small communities they serve.Close Project
This is a six-year project, started in 2013, to work to create a living memorial for the centenary of the First World War. Our work has included coordination meetings for groups in our area; a project to encourage people to share their thoughts and family stories about WW1; and promotion of related events taking place in our area.
We've also been encouraging local groups to incorporate memorial work as part of their general activities - for example community choirs including songs from the period into their repertoirs.

This is a local group that promotes walking and accessibility in the area. We've created new signed walking trails, produced printed walking guides, and held mass walking events. We are currently working on a new 20-mile circular trail and a community initiative to increase access to the local countryside for people with limited mobility.

We help with funding for small local charities and community groups. We're particularly interested in providing small amounts of seed funding to help initiatives get up and running. Get in touch if you have a project that needs help to get going.
One successful example was our providing the first £500 of startup funding for the Sherston Old School project. This enabled the group to undertake a feasibility study for taking over the old primary school to preserve the building and develop community business premises. The grant also enabled the trustees to start the process of gaining matched funding. In 2010 the project became a community interest company with over 250 members. The project was a resounding success and to date has managed to raise over £900,000 of funding to create a thriving community facility for the village and a new home for the village shop and post office.
We have a wealth of experience in running community projects and charity management. If you need help and advice, or guidance with your options for setting up a charity, please get in touch.Close Project
